on new year's eve

the office has very generously given a half-day off on new year's eve.
so here i am doing something i really enjoy
and used to do often when in melb -
spending me-time reading and sipping coffee in a nice cafe

read several good reviews of the coffee at Oriole
and decided to give it a try -

disappointingly, the coffee wasn't as good as i had expected

it arrived too hot, and there was a faint burnt smell

the one i had at publico . hk was way better

but well, it did look good

whilst sipping my flat white and munching on bruschetta

i came across this in the mag i was reading

and it made me laugh and concur

what a miserable time i had when i was doing my internship!

but as L said, it was that meanie that made me who i am today

and thank God that i have such a nice boss and mentor now

and then, very indulgent me, went for a facial and massage!

at the tamarind spa near my place

i have so many "knots" on my shoulders it hurts even if gently pressed

really need a good shoulder and back massage

bought some proscuitto ham and foie gras from huber's next door

(i know, sooo indulgenttt rite, but but it's not those super ex kind,

it's called foie gras d'oie, not that i know what it means,

but the brands' Feyel, and it cost $22.50 - affordable luxury laa)

and took a nice slow walk home...

then i received a very nice ny's eve sms from S

asking me to spend the remaining 5 hours of today nicely,

and i think i have done pretty well so far! =)

happi healthy new year to all my dearest family and frens!!
