we had a very tight budget
most of the moolah was spent on spatial reconfiguration
to maximize e potential of the huge floor area of our old walk up apartment
we hardly did any any built in furniture
mostly affordable ikea and a few key pieces from air or vintage shops
maybe because we felt this wouldn't be our "final" home,
so more economical to invest on loose furniture, rather than built-in,
which we could bring along if we moved
for our next home or if we were to rehaul the entire apt
i'm going to FILL IT UP with loads of huge paintings and artwork
hopefully can afford them in years to come
& gonna start collecting images in my blog as a library of inspiration as I dream about our next home...

hey, we came across this vintage furniture shop called Lorgan's, located somewhere in pasir panjang. have u heard of it? think u will like it cuz the things in there are so YOU! like hunter gatherer but with furniture. anyway if you guys are free can go check it out.
anyway i love that timber bath-tub in the first image.... but sadly i think as architects we can only dream about these things for other pp's homes... cannot afford for our own home! sad!!! hhahaa! but artwork maybe still can lah.. did u go to the affordable art sale at the F1 pit building?

yar like lorgans but their stuff are overpriced! but we like to browse there...we bought really old stuff like some old hooks and a frank lloyd wright poster... if u wanna get those replica stuff for your duxton place, buy from Lush ok? it's at half the price.
i didn't get to go ='(!!! put it into my calendar but no time to go... =( my mind now too preoccupied with work, when this phase is over i can unwind like a spring... and spend time on these stuff... and meet u gals for tea.. =)
