my life is erratic like weather melbourne

we used to say this a lot in melbourne
that the temperament of a woman is like the melbourne weather
erratic, unpredictable, swinging from one spectrum of mood to the other
ie hail in the morning, bright sunny day in the afternoon, and rain in the evening
all in the effort of a day
and this is how i feel about my life now!
so intense!
like the span of 10 years squashed, squealed, stamped on hard and condensed in such short spurts and it's barely 2 months into the new year
attended another funeral today
was shocked when i entered the room which held the coffin
never knew the endearing old man with thick black framed glasses
was the father of a dear sunday school teacher
almost fainted on the spot when i saw the black and white pictorial
walked for very long the area of katong for the third time in my life today
to bring architects from amsterdam for site studies
climbed 100 steps today from the last floor the lift would go to reach the highest floor of a uncompleted construction site
for views good enough to capture some precious view angles for presentation

i smiled, was saddend, entertained socially, got shocked, felt grateful, was hypocritical, frowned, perspired, felt pensive -
all these hosted in the length of one single day

i really should spend a moment to pray for a cloudless, windless, calm and quiet day

this year seems to be starting off so badly.

hope you are fine, and appreciating the beauty of life even more (perhaps, as a result of all the tumult).

coincidentally, i've also been hunting down books from 2nd hand bookstores over here. treasure trove, i tell ya!

and to the leprosymac
it's called hua wei, a mobile broadband attachment invented by the Chinese.
u attach to your laptop or comp and it connects u to the internet via GPRS technology.

oh cool! i remember charlene!
how's she?

btw, one of the stories i'll always associate you with is a particular postman pat story.
you used that for one of the storytelling sessions long ago - those that you'd have to stand in front of the whole class for.
it ended with '... and postman pat went home and sat down to an enormous meal'. the end.

heh. sweet, eh? :)

she looks exactly the same, with flyaway hair, and still as skinny after giving birth

i seriously don't remember the postman pat story! haha.. but i should have been quite convincing about the enormous bit, for u to remember it!
so sweet lah

hey. before you get your hopes up regarding your trip to melbs, i need to tell you that the entire ground level around the fire escape staircase (aka smoking corner outside after-hours entrance) is being cordoned off for some surfacing works.

don't know how they got THAT past their fire safety bureau, man... :)

so. just in case. y'know, 1 place less for your ah-long photoshoot.

hope melbs is still as nice as i remember it to be...
